Celine Dion’s Beauty and the Beast

Celine Dion’s second English album entitled simply as Celine Dion has sold over six million copies worldwide. It was released in March 31, 1992 and includes the song for “Beauty and the Beast” which won Academy Award and Grammy acclaim. Most of Celine Dion’s songs in this album contain messages about love. Her musical style consists of classical, ballad and soft rock which are mostly accompanied by soft music that allows her fine singing voice to come out. This was shown in her song for the animated film “Beauty and the Beast” which like any of her other previous songs were well received. I certainly liked the sound track of the “Beauty and the Beast” from this album. It showed Celine Dion’s style of versatility as a singer. She got all her notes correct from start to finish making me appreciate not only the sound track of the animated film but also the movie itself, which I did watch after writing essay papers for English Literature tomorrow. As her “Beauty and the Beast” Disney song enjoys being a runaway successful single on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 9, her other songs in the album: “Love Can Move Mountains”, “If You Asked Me To” and “Nothing Broken But My Heart” are within the U.S. Top 40. I just hope my term paper mla writing grade will fare as well at the end of the school term.
